News has been slow lately, Blizzard posters are taking a break for the end of the year and I don't have much to write about. Hopefully there are still a bunch of interesting things to post and Tier 8 sets and Ulduar gear were at the top of my list.

Good news for those of you who've been starving for some new sights from Diablo 3! Blizzard has just updated the official Diablo 3 web site with three new pieces of concept artwork and seven new screenshots!
Bashiok reports, "We've just updated the official Diablo III website with new sights and sounds, as well as three new concept images and seven new screenshots. Go ahead and check out the entire site as there have been changes all around, including additional music."
First up, we have these really nice pieces of concept art by three different artists - Peter Lee, Victor Lee and Trent:
Ventrilo is a voice communication program. Users install and run the Ventrilo client program and connect to a Ventrilo server. Most people use a headset and talk as if everyone was in the same room together similar to a conference call. Default sound quality is comparable to a telephone and can be changed to a higher quality by changing to a different codec. Bandwidth is a concern to 56k modem users however at the lowest sound quality it is useable.

We will be hosting a series of new Diablo 2 Death Matches for the enjoyment of our community on Saturdays. We will be hosting it for Diablo 2 Open Battlenet. They will be hosted by Realm Of Teror. We will use a video camera in game to broadcast the death match live for our community.

Anyone is allowed to challenge anyone. Both Players must be registered and logged onto Realm Of Teror for the match to count.

Process:
Both Duelers join a game hosted on Realm Of Teror. Referee tosses a coin, challenged player calls "Heads or Tails". Winner of toss joins game first.
Cast on all your auras, shields, and double check your gear. It's your responsibility to be prepared before you join. Referee will ask if both are ready. Once both duelers say yes, the referee saids Go! 1 Duel, 1 Kill, Winner Takes All!

We’re developing Diablo III to be the definitive action role-playing game, and a true continuation of the Diablo series. Players will create a hero from one of five distinct classes, such as barbarian or witch doctor, each equipped with an array of spells and abilities. As these heroes adventure through rich and varied settings, unraveling an epic storyline and engaging in combat with hordes of monsters and challenging bosses, they’ll grow in experience and ability and acquire items of incredible power.
The game takes place on Sanctuary, a world of dark fantasy. Unbeknownst to most of its inhabitants, Sanctuary was saved some twenty years ago from the demonic forces of the underworld by a few brave and powerful heroes. Most of those warriors who directly faced the armies of the Burning Hells -- and were fortunate enough to survive -- went mad from their experiences. And most of the others have buried their haunted memories and pushed the horrors from their thoughts. In Diablo III, players will return to Sanctuary to confront evil in its many forms once again.
Diablo III will be a fitting sequel to Diablo II, with the easy interface, fast-paced action, and visceral gameplay that Diablo players have come to expect and enjoy. It will also include many new features that will take the Diablo action-RPG experience to the next level. We look forward to going into much more detail on our plans for Diablo III as development on the game progresses.
The Diablo II ladder has been reset, wiping the slate clean and beginning the rush to be the first to level 99! In addition to the reset we've also released Diablo II patch 1.12a, which removes the requirement to have your Diablo II CD in the drive while playing.
